So last night I stayed with my friend Jo in nottingham. We were supposed to be having a girly evening (well girly for me). So we started watching Breakfast at Tiffany's, but of course we talked all the way through it. Then Jo put on Thelma and Louise, as a lesbian I'm ashamed to say it was my first time watching it! I loved it! After that Jo decided she wanted to play scrabble, which of course became best of 3. It was after 5am before we went to bed and neither of us had touched ANY alcohol at all. Of course i still felt like crap this morning, and boy I am getting way too old to sleep on couches! Anyhow my aim for tonight is to chill out, have a lovely long hot shower, watch SVU and crash!

    <lj:music>hmmm Agnus Dei (doesn't reflect my mood!)</lj:music>

So here I am, i've just figured out how to do this thing after being bugged by a friend about signing up for months (hi Cris ;-)). I finally cracked when I realised that this could be yet another way to avoid working on my PhD, heh! I hope everyone is well and can i just express my deepest sympathies for the people of New Orleans and other areas affected by Katrina.

Things with me are a bit chaotic at the moment. I've been seriously ill this year and so moved home to Nottingham from Cardiff to help save money and finish off my PhD (I'm feeling ok now). I was hoping for quiet and calm and then my parents house was sold, so now it's chaos, packing boxes every two minutes and constantly sorting through my stuff to get rid of the crap. Today my CD collection got a battering, although i found it extremely difficult to be severe enough to make a difference. This weekend I'm working on my clothes. Then I'm going to sift through the 8 boxes of paperwork i have for my PhD and see if it's needed (sadly i think it is). Anyhow after this things should quiet down! This is the third thing this year (Feb my uncle died, April i got ill, October moving), they say these things come in three's right? After this i'm demanding a no stress period of at least one year (yeah like that'll happen...).

Anyhow hope everyone's well (of course no one may ever read this so I'll look like a psycho...).
Karen
